ViCentra BV has appointed Ian Wells as chief financial officer and Thomas A. West as an independent director on its board. The executives will support expansion of the company’s proprietary insulin patch pump system across Europe and into the US, after the scale up of commercial manufacturing capabilities. Mr Wells, with nearly two decades of finance leadership in regulated medical technology, most recently was global chief financial officer of HOYA Vision Care, where he led margin expansion, multiple acquisitions and a global finance transformation. Mr West brings a combination of public company leadership, diabetes sector experience and value creation in medical technology, most recently serving as chief executive officer and director of Nalu Medical. Earlier in his career he spent 23 years at Johnson & Johnson.
