Orano Med SAS has appointed Matthew Fyfe as chief scientific officer. Dr Fyfe brings more than 25 years’ experience in drug discovery and development with a focus on oncology. He will lead inhouse scientific research centres in France and the US, with a focus on Orano Med’s preclinical and clinical pipeline based around lead-212, an alpha-emitting radioisotope. Dr Fyfe joins Orano Med from Outrun Therapeutics Ltd, where he was CSO. Previous roles included leadership positions at Storm Therapeutics Ltd and Sitryx Therapeutics Ltd. He holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham, UK and is a chartered chemist and fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK.
