Vaccitech Ltd has appointed three new senior leaders across its clinical, financial and manufacturing operations. The Oxford, UK-based company has a clinical-stage vaccine and immunotherapy portfolio and participated in the early development the candidate Covid-19 vaccine which is being tested by AstraZeneca Plc. Margaret Marshall has become Vaccitech’s full-time chief medical officer, having been a consultant to the company since June 2020. Georgy Egorov joins as chief financial officer from Exscientia Ltd. He previously worked in investment banking. The third appointment is Simon Alvis to head of manufacturing. He joins from PsiOxus Therapeutics Ltd where he led viral manufacturing programmes.
Vaccitech announced the appointments on 20 October 2020.
