Giles Platford has been appointed as president of the Europe and Canada business unit of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, in addition to his role as a member of the company’s executive team reporting to the chief executive Christophe Weber.
Mr Platford was previously president of emerging markets where he oversaw the development and implementation of the company’s global access to medicines programme. He joined Takeda in 2009.
Takeda announced the appointment on 30 March 2017.
