Tahamtan Ahmadi has been appointed to the newly created position of chief medical officer, head of experimental medicines, at the Danish biotechnology company Genmab A/S. Dr Ahmadi moves into the role from his current position as head of oncology at Genmab, which he has held since 2017.
Based in Genmab’s US office, Dr Ahmadi will lead the company’s research, discovery, regulatory and medical activities. He is a haematologist and oncologist by training, holds an MD from the University of Cologne, and a PhD in immunology from the University of Freiburg, both in Germany.
