Sofinnova Partners has appointed David Evans as a London, UK-based partner, bringing clinical, scientific and investment expertise to the group. Dr Evans joins the European venture capital firm from the Roche Venture Fund, where his most recent role was senior investment director. He will play a key role in late-stage private and public life-sciences investments within Sofinnova's Crossover Strategy.
Prior to his investment career, Evans held senior drug development roles at Roche and Bristol Myers Squibb Co, and worked at Eli Lilly and Co at affiliate level. He trained in medicine at the University of Sydney, Australia, and holds an MSc in biostatistics and research methods and a PhD in epidemiology.
