Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Sobi) has appointed Anne Marie de Jonge Schuermans as head of its new technical operations organisation, bringing together manufacturing, procurement and environment and safety operations. Ms de Jonge Schuermans will join Sobi on 1 October and be a member of the company’s executive committee.
She joins from Biogen Inc where she was vice president for global supply chain operations and strategic partnerships. She has also held senior positions at Stryker Corp and Novartis.
Ms de Jonge Schuermans holds MSc degrees in agriculture and natural environment from the Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands and in environmental management and technology from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland as well as a PhD in sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in Switzerland.
Sobi announced the appointment on 22 August 2018.
