The privately-held company, Oxford Genome Sciences (UK) Ltd, has appointed Sir Walter Bodmer to its Scientific Advisory Board. Dr Bodmer is currently head of the Cancer and Immunogenetics Laboratory in the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine at the University of Oxford which is researching the genetic and biological changes which lead to the development of colorectal cancer.
Prior to this, Dr Bodmer was the director general of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London.
