Rentschler Biopharma SE, a contract development and manufacturing organisation for biopharmaceuticals, has appointed Torsten Woehr as chief executive officer effective 1 August 2026. With more than 25 years’ experience in the international CDMO and biotechnology industry, combining commercial and operational expertise.
Dr Woehr was most recently chief commercial officer of Bachem Group. He has a doctorate in bioorganic chemistry from the University / Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Uwe Buecheler will step down as Rentschler’s interim CEO and return to his role as vice chairman of the supervisory board, effective 1 August.
Rentschler Biopharma announced the appointment on 1 July 2026.
