Redx Pharma changes board after financing close

Redx Pharma Ltd has changed the composition of its board following the completion of its Series A financing of $36 million. Andrew Sinclair, managing director of Abingworth which led the financing round, has joined the board as the investor director representing Abingworth. Natalie Berner of Redmile, Redx Pharma’s major shareholder and participant in the financing, remains as an investor director, while Jeremy Green of Redmile remains as chair of the board. Claire Catherinet, an investor director representing Sofinnova, has stepped down.

Redx also named Bernard Coulie MD, PhD, as an independent director. He is CEO of Pliant Therapeutics Inc and brings experience as a gastroenterologist and in clinical development of novel anti-fibrotic therapies.
