Pluri appoints shareholder as chairman

Pluri Inc, a biotech developing mass-scale cell expansion and biofarming, has appointed Alejandro Weinstein, one of the company’s largest shareholders, as chairman. Mr Weinstein will lead a strategic shift and unlock value, supported by additional investment. His ownership of Pluri is expected to increase to approximately 30%. Mr Weinstein has a track record of building and scaling companies, including transforming CFR Pharmaceuticals into a multinational group that was later acquired by Abbott for $2.9 billion, and founding investment platforms such as WM Partners, Olive Tree Ventures and Vanterra Ventures. He succeeds Zami Aberman who will become vice chairman of Pluri.

Pluri announced the appointment on 9 December 2025.
