Onxeo creates scientific advisory committee

France-based Onxeo SA has created a scientific advisory committee composed of five leading cancer experts to help it oversee development of drugs targeting tumour DNA damage response. The new committee includes Gilbert Chu from Stanford Medical School and Lorenzo Galluzzi from the Weill Cornell Medical College in the US; Ruth Plummer from Newcastle University in the UK; and Gilles Favre from the University of Toulouse and Caroline Robert from Gustave Roussy in France.

Dr Chu is noted for the discovery and characterisation of proteins involved in DNA repair while Dr Galluzzi has made experimental and conceptual contributions to the fields of tumour metabolism and immunology. Dr Plummer runs one of the most active Phase 1 cancer trial units in the UK. Dr Favre’s research focuses on cancer cell signalling, while Dr Robert’s specialty is melanoma research.
