Genopore Ltd, an Israeli start-up which is developing a semiconductor-based optical nanopore platform for protein molecule identification, has appointed Rey Mali as chief executive officer. Ms Mali joins the company from Accellix Inc, where she directed corporate strategy and ultimately helped lead the business through its acquisition by bioMérieux. Previous roles included director of product marketing at Twist Bioscience Corp. She holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, US and an MSc in molecular biology and immunology from Ben Gurion University, Israel.
Genopore announced the appointment on 14 July 2026.
