Transgene SA of France has recruited Nathalie Adda from Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc to be its chief medical officer. Dr Adda will be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts US. At Vertex, Dr Adda was senior medical director and responsible for the clinical development of that company’s hepatitis C drug, Telaprevir. Prior to this, she held similar roles at Gilead Sciences Inc and Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH.
Transgene announced the appointment on 20 September 2012.
