Niels Plath, a molecular biologist and neuroscientist, has been appointed chief scientific officer at Muna Therapeutics ApS, a biotech company co-located in Denmark and Belgium. Dr Plath was previously acting head of global research and vice president for neuroscience at H. Lundbeck A/S, leading teams that brought several drug candidates into development including alpha-synuclein and tau targeting antibodies. He received a PhD in neuroscience from the Free University of Berlin, Germany and currently is a guest lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Muna Therapeutics announced the appointment on 1 November 2021.
