Circassia Pharmaceuticals Plc has appointed the former Pfizer Inc executive Jonathan Emms to the newly created role of chief operating officer to lead the commercialisation of the company’s respiratory products. Mr Emms was previously chief commercial officer for Pfizer’s internal medicines’organisation. He also oversaw the UK launch of the respiratory drug Spiriva under Pfizer’s co-promotion agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH. Prior to Pfizer, Mr Emms worked at GlaxoSmithKline Plc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in materials technology from Coventry University in the UK.
