PolyTherics Ltd, which engineers proteins with therapeutic potential, has appointed John Burt as its chief business officer. Dr Burt was previously chief executive of Thiakis, a company which he co-founded with Professor Steve Bloom of Imperial College in 2004 and sold to Wyeth (now Pfizer) in 2008.
