Hansa Biopharma AB has appointed Fredrik Röök as VP business development effective 17 August to strengthen the company’s strategic capabilities in its next phase of growth. He joins Hansa from AstraZeneca, where he was senior director, global business development. Mr Röök brings 20 years of experience in business development, licensing and strategic transactions in the life science industry.
In a separate development, Chief Executive Officer Renée Aguiar-Lucander was named one of Sweden’s most influential business women of 2026 in a list published by Swedish financial newspaper Dagens Industri. Ms Aguiar-Lucander has been CEO of Hansa since April 2025. Prior to joining Hansa, she was CEO of Calliditas Therapeutics AB for seven years. During her tenure, she led a dual listing on NASDAQ in both Sweden and the US and the company launched and commercialised the first ever approved drug for immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy in the US.
