Deirdre Connelly will join GlaxoSmithKline Plc on 9 February 2009 as president of North American pharmaceuticals, reporting to Andrew Witty, the chief executive officer. A former Eli Lilly & Co executive, Ms Connelly will become a member of GSK’s corporate executive team. Ms Connelly was appointed president of US operations at Lilly in 2005.
