Forbion of the Netherlands has promoted Jon Edwards to general partner, Regina Salvat to partner and appointed John McDonald as operating partner, business development and M&A. All three are based in Forbion’s Boston, US office, supporting continued investment in breakthrough biotechnology companies. Mr McDonald was most recently global head of business development and M&A at Novo Nordisk. Prior leadership roles included at Biogen, MPM Capital, Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Genzyme.
General partner Dr Edwards joined Forbion in 2025, advancing the firm's investment strategy, and is currently on the boards of Altesa, AiRNA, and Spoila. He holds a PhD in biochemistry and biophysics from the University of North Carolina, US. Dr Salvat, with a PhD in protein engineering from Dartmouth College, US, has an extensive network in life sciences and is currently on the boards of Marea Therapeutics, Expedition Therapeutics and Sling Therapeutics.
