Finland-based Faron Pharmaceuticals Oy has appointed its co-founder Maija Hollmén as chief scientific officer with a remit to oversee further development of the company’s macrophage-guided immunotherapy for cancer. Dr Hollmén is an adjunct professor of tumour immunology at the University of Turku in Finland as well as a principal investigator. She earned both her PhD and MSc degrees from Turku University.
Faron announced the appointment on 1 December 2022.
