DiaGenic ASA has appointed Magnus Sjogren as chief medical officer, effective 1 September 2011.
Dr Sjogren is a medical doctor with a PhD in clinical psychiatry. He has had management experience at UCB Pharma SA, Schering Plough, Organon and AstraZeneca.
Diagenic has developed diagnostics for Alzheimer’s disease and breast cancer and it is working on a diagnostic for Parkinson’s disease. The Norwegian company’s technology is based on measuring the amount of RNA in selected gene samples taken from blood.
