University of Cambridge professor, David Klenerman, has become an advisor to  Evonetix Ltd to help oversee the development of the company’s DNA synthesis platform. He is joined on the company’s new scientific advisory board by Andrew Briggs of the University of Oxford. Prof Klenerman, a professor of biophysical chemistry, co-developed next-generation DNA sequencing methods that were commercialised by Solexa Ltd, a company that he co-founded and which was later acquired by Illumina Inc.

Prof Briggs, a professor of nanomaterials, focuses on quantum information technologies. His interests include understanding the influence of new technologies and how society views their potential impact.

Evonetix Ltd announced the appointments on 20 December 2018.
