Hovione of Portugal has announced the appointment of Conrad Winters, a pharmaceutical industry veteran, as director of drug product development. Dr Winters previously worked with Merck & Co in the US and Canada, and most recently with Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc as senior director of the compound properties group. Dr Winters trained as a pharmacist, and earned a PhD in pharmaceutical technology from Bradford University in the UK.
Hovione announced the appointment on 23 August 2012.
