Colin Stewart, a veteran pharmaceutical industry executive, has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Amarin Corporation Plc, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with a focus on cardiovascular disease. Mr Stewart will replace Declan Doogan, the interim CEO, who is becoming the company’s chief medical officer. Mr Stewart was previously president and CEO of CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals Inc, which was acquired by Galderma Pharma SA in 2008.
