Chris Brinsmead, the president of AstraZeneca in the UK, will become president of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, effective April 2008. He will serve for two years, taking over from Nigel Brooksby of Sanofi-Aventis (UK).
Mr Brinsmead heads AstraZeneca’s marketing company in the UK. He is a member of the ABPI’s Governance Board and has been a member of the association’s Board of Management since 2002.
