H Lundbeck A/S has appointed Markus Kede as senior vice president, chief AI officer, in a move to become a bionic company. In recent years, Lundbeck has made several AI partnerships to advance research and early discovery of new drug candidates and accelerate commercial execution. Mr Kede, who is currently senior vice president, finance & business planning at Lundbeck US, will lead Lundbeck's global AI strategy, establishing strong governance and responsible AI practices, focused AI capabilities, and driving scalable deployment. He will transition from his US-based role to his new role and join the executive leadership team by 1 July.
Lundbeck announced the appointment on 10 March 2026.
