CatalYm GmbH has appointed Peter Garcia as chief financial officer as the German/US company advances multiple clinical trials of its lead asset and expands globally across the organisation. Mr Garcia has three decades of finance leadership in biotechnology and oncology. Most recently he was CFO of Bluejay Therapeutics where he led financing initiatives and initial public offering readiness before its acquisition by Mirum Pharmaceuticals, and previously was CFO of ALX Oncology Holdings where he led the company’s IPO.
He started his career at Amgen in senior finance and controller roles. CatalYm, based in Munich, Germany and San Francisco, US, is advancing multiple Phase 2b studies of visugromab, an anti-GDF-15 antibody, in solid tumours and cachexia.
