Circassia Ltd has appointed Brett Haumann, formerly of GlaxoSmithKline Plc, as its chief medical officer. Dr Haumann was previously vice president and medicines development leader for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) products at GSK. Circassia is developing new treatments for allergies.
Dr Haumann earned his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and also holds a masters’ of business administration from the Open University in the UK.
Circassia announced the appointment on 11 September 2012.
