Bo Jesper Hansen, a non-executive director of Ablynx NV, has assumed the role of chair following the resignation of Peter Fellner who has held the position since 2013. The announcement follows the disclosure on 8 January that Novo Nordisk A/S has made two unsolicited bids for Ablynx.
Dr Hansen is chairman of Orfacare Consulting GmbH, as well as chairman of Karolinska Development AB and of Laborie Inc. He previously served as chief executive of Swedish Orphan International AB until its merger with Biovitrum to form Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (SOBI) in 2010.
