Basilea Pharmaceutica Ltd has appointed Savitha Ram Moorthi as head of global quality management, effective 1 June, to oversee product quality at the Switzerland-based biopharmaceutical company. Basilea is developing products to treat cancer and infectious diseases. Ms Ram Moorthi previously worked for Novo Nordisk Health Care AG in Zurich as head of quality compliance systems and safety. She holds a master’s degree in clinical pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen, UK and a master’s degree in pharmacy from Nagpur University in India.
Basilea announced the appointment on 29 April 2020.
