Astraveus appoints COO and CTO

Astraveus SAS, a cell therapy company, has appointed Didier Masson as chief operating officer and Ken Kotz as chief technology officer. Mr Masson brings over 20 years of experience in pharma industry operations and joins from Quantoom Biosciences, where he was COO. His role will include the scaling of the French company’s “cell factory” which is designed to scale cell therapy manufacturing with maximised quality, increased speed and at lower cost. Mr Kotz brings over 20 years of experience in life sciences and he was previously director process development at bluebird bio. The appointments follow other senior executive hires at Astraveus earlier this year. The company was founded in 2016 by Jérémie Laurent at the Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris, a hub for cell therapy research.

Astraveus announced the appointments on 21 October, 2025.
