Anne Fairey, a medical doctor specialising in oncology, has been appointed as a non-executive director of Biocompatibles International Plc, effective 1 September 2008. Dr Fairey is a former medical director of Novartis. Prior to that, she worked in clinical research in oncology with Sanofi-Synthélabo and with Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, which later merged with Ciba-Geigy to become Novartis.
Dr Fairey qualified as a doctor at Southampton University in the UK in 1985 and went on to develop her medical career with Southampton General Hospital and the Central Middlesex Hospital in London, specialising in oncology.
Based in Farnham, UK, Biocompatibles develops combination drug-device products.
