Affimed Therapeutics AG has appointed Adi Hoess, a former executive with Jerini AG, now part of Shire Plc, to be its chief commercial officer. Dr Hoess has more than 17 years of experience in business development and strategic planning in the biotechnology industry. He studied chemistry and biochemistry at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and has done postdoctoral research at the German Cancer Research Centre and at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the US.
