Ablynx NV has appointed Christian Duby, a medical doctor and pharmaceutical industry executive, as medical director. Dr Duby will report to Josi Holz, the Belgian company’s chief medical officer.
Dr Duby holds a master of science degree in bioengineering from Columbia University and a medical doctor’s degree from the Free University of Brussels. He started his career in industry in 1992 at UCB Pharma and has also held senior clinical research and marketing positions at Amgen, GlaxoSmithKline and Servier.
At Ablynx, he will help manage the company’s therapeutic antibody programmes.
