William RM Long, an expert in privacy, data security, and information law, has been elected partner in London of the international law firm Sidley Austin LLP. Mr Long has experience with EU and international social media, data protection and privacy projects particularly in the life sciences and in the financial services sectors. He is one of two new partners in the firm’s London office. The other is Will Smith, an expert in tax.
