Philippe Cotrel, formerly director of commercial operations at Abcam Plc, has joined Avacta Group Plc to help frame the company’s commercial strategy and oversee business development. Avacta has a preclinical portfolio of small protein compounds. Dr Cotrel is a protein chemist by training and has held senior positions at Amersham Pharmacia Biotech, Oxford Glycosciences and Affymetrix, a producer of commercial microarrays.
Avacta announced the appointment on 25 January 2016.
