Magnus Persson, a medical doctor and entrepreneur, has been appointed chairman of the board at Galecto Biotech AB which focuses on developing drugs for fibrosis, inflammation and other diseases. Dr Persson is succeeding Kjell Stenberg who remains as an ordinary member of the board.
Dr Persson is co-founder of the Swedish medical technology company, Aerocrine AB, and has helped build up investment funds both in Sweden and abroad with a focus on medical products.
Galecto announced the appointment on 19 June 2013.
