Karin Dorrepaal, a life science veteran, has been appointed to the supervisory board of Paion AG, replacing Harald Stock, the chief executive of Grünenthal. Dr Dorrepaal was a member of the management board of Schering AG from 2004 to 2006. Schering was acquired by Bayer AG in 2006. Before that, she was a management consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton in Amsterdam and New York. Dr Dorrepaal was also a PhD research fellow at The Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam from 1985 to 1988.
Paion announced the appointment on 5 November 2012.
