Jean Marie Stassen, previously head of research and development at ThromboGenics NV, has joined Amakem NV as vice president of research and development. Located in Belgium, Amakem is working in the area of ophthalmology. Prior to working at ThromboGenics, Dr Stassen was a research project leader for cardiovascular medicine at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma. Dr Stassen received his doctoral degree in medical sciences from the University of Umeå in Sweden.
Amakem announced the appointment on 3 September 2013.
