Covagen AG of Switzerland has expanded its management team with the appointment of Elias Papatheodorou as chief business officer. Mr Papatheodorou was previously senior vice president of business development at Medigene AG in Germany. He was also chief executive of Novosom AG where he closed the sale of that company’s liposomal-based drug delivery system to Marina Biotech Inc. Mr Papatheodorou holds a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and did graduate work at Cornell University, both in the US.
Covagen announced the appointment on 15 April.
