Christian Meyer, formerly of Cardoz AB, has joined the gene therapy company UniQure BV as its chief medical officer. Dr Meyer has 18 years of clinical research experience in biopharma with a particular expertise in the development of treatments for rare diseases. At Cardoz, he was CMO. Prior to that he held senior positions at Symphogen A/S, Zymenex A/S, and at Novo Nordisk A/S. Dr Meyer holds MD and PhD degrees from the University of Copenhagen.
UniQure announced the appointment on 4 October 2013.
