Astellas Pharma Inc has appointed Songlin Xue, former head of global pharmacovigilance at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, as its new pharmacovigilance officer. Dr Xue will be located in the US and report to Sef Kurstjens, the company’s new chief medical officer. Dr Xue received his medical degree from Shanxi Medical College in Shanxi, China.
Astellas announced the appointment on 14 April.
