Bavarian Nordic A/S of Denmark has appointed James Breitmeyer, formerly chief medical officer of Cadence Pharmaceuticals Inc, to the position of executive vice president and division president of its cancer vaccine division. Dr Breitmeyer, an oncology expert, received both his medical degree and his PhD from the Washington University School of Medicine in the US. Prior to working at Cadence, he was chief medical officer at Applied Molecular Evolution Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company.
Bavarian Nordic announced the appointment on 8 February 2013.
