Gabriele Elbl, a former scientific administrator at the European Medicines Agency, has been appointed head of regulatory affairs at MorphoSys AG, the antibody developer. Dr Elbl was most recently senior vice president of regulatory affairs at Wilex AG. She holds a PhD in pharmaceutical biology from the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich.
MorphoSys has also appointed Ludger Langer, a former executive of PRA International, as head of clinical operations and project management, and Steffen Heeger, formerly head of medical affairs at Merck Serono, as head of clinical research. Dr Langer studied pharmacy and received a PhD from the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main. Dr Heeger received a PhD in medicine from the University of Heidelberg.
