Edwin Klumper has been appointed chief executive officer of Specialized Medical Services-oncology BV (SMS-oncology) in a shake-up and expansion of the company’s management team as the contract research organisation seeks to expand its business across Europe. The other members of the Netherlands-based company’s management team include Philine van den Tol, chief operating officer; Eric van der Putten, chief business development officer; Wouter Wijker, managing director biometrics; and Raymond Hoffmans, director of consultancy. Mr Klumper replaces Mr van der Putten as chief executive.
SMS-oncology announced the changes in management on 4 February 2013.
