Raymond Barlow has been appointed chief executive officer of e-Therapeutics Plc to oversee the company’s drug discovery business which is based on network pharmacology. He is scheduled to take up the post on or before 1 May.
Dr Barlow is currently executive director of corporate development at Amgen Inc and based in Switzerland. He previously held scientific, business and corporate jobs at AstraZeneca Plc, Crucell and Johnson & Johnson Inc. Dr Barlow obtained a BSc in chemistry from Leeds University and a PhD in chemistry from the University of Manchester, both in the UK. He subsequently did post-doctoral work at McGill University in Montreal, Canada before joining the pharmaceutical industry.
e-Therapeutics announced the appointment on 9 January 2017.
