Dominique Limet to be CEO of new HIV company

Dominique Limet, senior vice president and head of personalised medicine at GlaxoSmithKline Plc, has been named chief executive officer designate of a new HIV medicines’ company that is being created by GSK and Pfizer Inc. The new company will have a portfolio of 11 marketed products and a clinical-stage development pipeline of six.

Mr Limet is a physician and has held a number of senior positions at GSK including that of regional president for southern and eastern Europe and general manager of GSK France.

Julian Heslop, chief financial officer of GSK, will be chairman of the board of the new company.

GSK will initially hold an 85% equity interest in the company and Pfizer, 15%.
