Clavis Pharma appoints new chief executive

Clavis Pharma ASA of Norway has appointed Olav Hellebø as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 February 2010. Mr Hellebø joins Clavis Pharma from UCB Pharma where he was a senior vice president and president of immunology operations. From 2003 to 2004 he was chief operating officer of Novartis UK and prior to that, he held a number of senior international positions at Schering Plough, now part of Merck & Co.
