Abivax SA has appointed Antonino Ligresti to its board of directors to represent Santé Holding Srl, an anchor investor in the company’s recent share offering on Euronext Paris. Dr Ligresti is a medical doctor and surgeon as well as an investor. He has been a member of the executive committee of the European Institute of Oncology as well as chair of the Générale de Santé Foundation. He will guide business development at Abivax, which is working on candidate anti-viral drugs and therapeutic vaccines.
Joining Dr Ligresti on the board is Dominique Costantini, a co-founder and chief executive of OSE Pharma.
Abivax announced the appointment on 15 September 2015.
